This policy covers perseusdefend.com in English and Turkish: visiting the site, the contact and demo request forms, the chat assistant and the e-mails you send us. It is also our information notice under Article 10 of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and Articles 13 and 14 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
It doesn't cover the Perseus Defend platform that customers use under their agreement with us, or other websites we link to, such as our social media pages, which have their own privacy policies.
02What we collect and why
We collect personal data electronically, through this website and by e-mail: what you type into the forms and the chat assistant, what you send us by e-mail, and technical data gathered automatically by cookies, similar browser storage and our server. You don't have to tell us who you are to browse the site.

Our hosting provider may also keep standard access logs.

04Who receives your data
We don't sell your personal data and don't share it for advertising. We share it only with:
- Our team
- The people at Perseus Defend who need it to answer you, prepare a demo or look into a report.
- Google Workspace
- Our business e-mail. Form submissions, demo requests made in the chat and your e-mails to us are delivered and stored there.
- Google Gemini API
- Writes the chat assistant's replies. It receives the messages you send in the chat and the conversation so far.
- Google Analytics
- Only if you accept analytics cookies. It receives the usage data listed in section 02.
- Hosting provider
- Runs the servers that deliver this website and its forms, and may keep technical logs.
- Authorities and advisers
- Courts, public authorities and our legal advisers, only when the law requires it or when needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Google processes this data under its own terms and privacy policy (opens in a new tab).
05International transfers
Perseus Defend is based in the United Arab Emirates, and the providers above may process data in other countries, including the United States. So wherever you use this website from, your personal data may be processed outside your country.
We transfer personal data abroad only under the conditions of Article 9 of KVKK and Chapter V of the GDPR: an adequacy decision, appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses, or, in the cases the law allows, your explicit consent. You can ask us which safeguard applies to a transfer.
06How long we keep it
We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it for, or as long as the law requires. After that we delete, destroy or anonymise it.
- Enquiries and demo requests
- Form submissions, demo requests made in the chat and e-mails: as long as we need them to answer you and follow up. If you become a customer, what we need moves to your customer records; otherwise we delete them once they're no longer needed. You can ask us to delete them sooner.
- Chat conversations
- Only in your browser, until you delete them from the assistant's chat history or clear this site's data. We don't store them on our servers.
- Request-limit memory
- In server memory only, for a short time. Old entries are cleared out as the site runs, and all of them when the server restarts.
- Server logs
- For the limited time needed for security and troubleshooting, then deleted.
- Analytics data
- Google Analytics keeps user-level data for the retention period set in our account, 14 months at most.
- Cookies and browser storage
- See the table in section 07.
08Your rights
Depending on the law that applies to you (KVKK Article 11, GDPR Articles 15 to 22), you can ask us to:
- tell you whether we process your personal data and, if we do, give you information about it and a copy;
- tell you why we process it and whether it is used for that purpose;
- tell you who we have shared it with, in your country or abroad;
- correct it if it is incomplete or wrong;
- delete or destroy it when the reasons for processing it no longer apply;
- tell the third parties we shared it with about a correction or deletion;
- restrict its use while a question about its accuracy or our use of it is being resolved;
- stop processing it on the basis of our legitimate interests (objection);
- give you the data you provided in a structured, machine-readable format (portability).
You can also object to a result against you that comes from analysing your data solely by automated systems, withdraw your consent at any time, and claim compensation if unlawful processing causes you damage.
How to apply. Write to [email protected] or send a letter to our address in section 01. Tell us your name and surname, how we can reach you and what you are asking for. For requests under KVKK, the Communiqué on applications to data controllers also asks for your national ID number (foreign nationals: nationality and passport number) and an address for correspondence. If you write by e-mail, please use the address you gave us before, for example in a form, or sign your e-mail with a secure electronic or mobile signature, so we can match your request; we may ask you to confirm your identity. We answer free of charge as soon as possible and within 30 days at the latest.
Complaints. Under KVKK, if we reject your request, you find our answer insufficient or we don't answer in time, you can complain to the Personal Data Protection Board (KVKK Board) within 30 days of learning our answer, and in any case within 60 days of your request. In the European Economic Area you can complain to the data protection authority where you live or work, or where you think the infringement happened (section 12).
09Children
This website is meant for businesses and professionals, not for children. We don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
10Security
We protect personal data with technical and organisational measures suited to the risk, including:
- encrypted connections (HTTPS) across the whole site;
- security headers that limit what our pages may load and stop other sites from embedding them;
- request limits that slow down automated abuse of the site and its forms;
- server-side checks on everything sent through the forms;
- no form database on the website: submissions go straight to our mailbox;
- access to our mailboxes only for the people who need it.
No system is completely secure. If a personal data breach affects you, we will act quickly and notify you and the authorities as the law requires.
11Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our website, our service providers or the law change. The date at the top shows when it was last updated. If a change significantly affects how we use your personal data, we will make that clear on the website.
